'bout damn time!!

After having smoke blown up my ass for almost 7 years, it's finally confirmed and going to happen! I'm going to robotics school!! The company I work for is sending me to Kuka College in Clinton Township Michigan for their basic and advanced programming courses.Our company got into robotic welders about 7 years ago and for various reasons I never got to go or have any specialized training. I read some manuals, played with stuff and figured a lot of it out. 3 years ago I had our robotic welders dumped in my lap, none of the owners "golden boys" could figure it out so I hit the books and turned our expensive "coffee tables" into productive, profitable machines. It's paid off, I finally get to go to school and learn from the best. One of the coolest aspects of this is that I get to ride 900 miles to the school, stay in a hotel for 2 weeks and get paid!! I love it! A paid road trip!!

2 Wheel Mania

My son, Jimmy, calls me last Thursday and tells me there a bike deal at the Beaumont Club in KC, anything with 2 wheels is welcome and if ya ride in admission is free. Now who am I to pass up a chance to spend the weekend with my son, get some miles on, and check out some cool scoots. Late Friday morning my wife and I loaded up and headed to KC!

Hopefully they do more of the 2 Wheel Mania events, anything from electric bicycles to full dress Harleys were there. Finally an event where everyone on 2 wheels just hung out and had fun.

Dodge City, Ks.

Last weekend a good friend, Mouse, also our 1st officer for our chapter of the SCRC calls me at 5 in the afternoon. "You up for a ride?" Hell yeah I tell him, where we goin? "Dodge City". Cool! A good friend of ours moved out there for work and we haven't seen him in about 4 months. A couple hundred miles on a Friday night, I'm game!

A couple weeks ago our chapter of the SCRC hit the road for a day run to Hutchinson Kansas to check out the Cosmosphere. If you've never been there and are into flight and space related things this is a must see! Our son, Jimmy was home for the weekend so he saddled up on the 9 and rode with.
